Naproxen May Have Antiviral Properties Against Influenza

Researchers from theĀ Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique, Jouy en Josas, France, found an interesting alternative to fight Influenza. They have discovered that Naproxen, also known as Aleve, has antiviral properties against influenza. The medication binds to a nucleoprotein of the virus preventing it from being able to replicate. It also has other properties that reduce viral load in cells and make it a better option than other anti-inflammatory drugs. Researchers are hoping naproxen can become a widely used remedy for the influenza virus.

Hepatitis B Vaccine Caused Chronic Fatigue Syndrome – Federal US Court

hep BThe Federal US Court has ruled in a case stating that the Hepatitis B vaccine caused a patient to develop chronic fatigue syndrome. The patient was awarded a considerable sum along with lifetime payments for healthcare! This ruling has sent a nation-wide warning for those who have yet to receive the Merck VARIVAX Hepatitis B vaccination. The drug warnings on the label include fatigue/weakness, multiple sclerosis, lupus, etc. The decision to receive a vaccination is not to be taken lightly for it can completely change your life, and you have every right to refuse the vaccination!

Robot Invented to Kill Ticks!

Engineers at the Virginia Military Institute have developed a robot that is able to lure in and kill ticks! The least successful trial wiped out 75% of ticks on a wildlife preserve trail, while more successful trials were able to wipe out ticks altogether. This is an exciting new way for pest control without spraying harsh and dangerous chemicals. The next they hope to achieve is to market the machine and sell it to companies for commercial use. Gluten and Our Gut

glutenGluten is a protein found in grains and used widely in processed foods. As foods become more processed, there are proteins that were not existing in the original plants previous generations have consumed. As a result, there are many individuals who may be sensitive or intolerant of gluten but do not know it!

This article covers what gluten is and why it is seen so largely in our diet. Dr. Myers discusses how gluten affects our gut when we consume it, and how it can cause intestinal issues such as intestinal permeability and inflammation.
